To keep pace with emerging and contemporary areas for addressing the issues of health care requirements, the IP Commission has identified to add general chapter and monographs on Radio Pharmaceuticals.
The IP Commission has formed an expert Committee consisting of the following experts from this field

The first meeting of the committee has taken place on 02-07-2010 in the campus of IPC wherein various steps to be taken were deliberated and agreed upon. The IPC intends to add a general chapter and monographs of those Radio Pharmaceuticals which are widely used for diagnostic and therapeutic use in India.
The members agreed for writing the general chapter and adding about 25 monographs of Radio Pharmaceuticals (List enclosed, please click) in the forthcoming edition of Indian Pharmacopoeia.
It is hoped that by addressing this class of drugs which is of special category would further help in improving the health of human as well as animal beings. The Committee is expected to complete its job within a period of 4 to 6 months.
